Ordering the custom shade is a simple process, consisting of six easy steps. First, choose the pattern that best suits your style from our wide selection. Next, decide if you would like a blackout liner or no liner at all. Then, select the "customize now" button on the right side of the screen to determine whether you would like the shade mounted on the inside or outside of the window.

In the fourth step, you will need to provide the width and height of your window. If you prefer an inside mount, please give us the exact measurements of the inside opening, accurate to the 1/8th of an inch. Keep in mind that we will deduct 3/8ths of an inch based on the opening size. Additionally, you will need a minimum depth of 1-3/4" for an inside mount, although a 1-1/4" depth may be sufficient for solid wood frames using only one row of bracket holes. For those opting for an outside mount, simply specify the desired size of the shade, which should be 3-5 inches wider and higher than the window size to provide full coverage of both the window and trim.

Once you have determined the mounting details, proceed to step five, where you can choose between a cordless system or a pull string system for operating the shade. Finally, in step six, add the customized shade to your shopping cart.
